Who This Space Is For

Anyone seeking a supportive place to explore identity, belonging, and connection.

Sometimes that looks like:

• a child beginning to notice who they are
• a teen exploring identity
• a parent learning how to support their child with care and understanding
• an adult making sense of life experiences and relationships

This practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcomes individuals across the gender spectrum and from all backgrounds, cultures, and belief systems. Identity, community, and lived experience shape the way we move through the world, and therapy is approached with curiosity, humility, and respect for each person’s story.

The hope is to offer a space where every person feels seen, valued, and supported.

All are welcome here. Art therapy and counseling for children, teens, adults, and parents in Northern Virginia

Children

Children often communicate through play, art, and movement long before words can fully capture their feelings. Therapy provides a nurturing place to explore emotions, strengthen coping skills, and build self-awareness in ways that feel natural and empowering.

Teens

The teen years bring growth, discovery, and change. For adolescents, therapy can be a place to explore identity, manage anxiety and stress, and develop tools for self-expression and emotional regulation. Sessions offer space for reflection and support during a time of increasing independence and transformation.

Parents & Caregivers

Parenting can bring deep love as well as moments of uncertainty, especially when children are navigating identity, emotional challenges, or transitions. Therapy can offer space for parents to reflect, ask questions, and develop ways of supporting their children with care and understanding.

Adults

For adults, therapy can provide clarity and grounding amid the demands of daily life. Whether you’re navigating loss, transitions, relationships, or questions of purpose and identity, therapy offers a place to pause, gain perspective, and reconnect with a sense of balance and direction.

Art Therapy

Art therapy offers a way to explore and express emotions that can be difficult to put into words. The creative process becomes a gentle bridge between inner experience and outer expression, supporting insight, regulation, and grounding.

No artistic skill required. Just a willingness to experiment and see what unfolds along the way.

Body-Based Awareness

Our bodies hold stories and wisdom that words often can’t reach. In therapy, gentle attention may be brought to breath, posture, or sensation, helping reconnect you with your body as a source of information, safety, and grounding.

These practices are always approached with sensitivity and choice, supporting regulation, presence, and a deeper understanding of your inner experience.
